Wenn wir uns beim Asana-Üben selbst beobachten, wird uns mit der Zeit immer klarer, wie unser Geist tickt und was unser*e innere*r Richter*in uns mitteilt. Wir lernen uns selbst auch auf der Matte in unseren – meist typischen, über Jahre hinweg eingeprägten – Denksystemen kennen.
Wenn z.B. mal wieder ein wackeliger Tag ist und Balance-Übungen mehr schwanken und kippen als zu wurzeln und standfest zu sein, ärgern wir uns vielleicht, weil wir erwarten, auf Anhieb alles perfekt zu beherrschen oder weil wir vor den anderen immer eine gute Figur machen wollen.
Wenn wir beginnen, neugierig und liebevoll zu beobachten, was unser Geist uns eigentlich erzählt, dann sind wir schon ein gesundes Stückchen tiefer gekommen: wir vergrößern den RAUM zwischen Empfindung, Gefühl oder Gedanken und unmittelbarer Reaktion.
Wir können zumindest das, was sich tut wahrnehmen und – ganz wichtig – einfach mal stehenLASSEN.
Das nennt man INNERE ACHTSAMKEIT.
Tun wir das nicht, kommen wir in ein Re-agieren und Beurteilen – manchmal sogar in ein Beurteilen des Beurteilens: „Da ist sie schon wieder, die innere Lästerstimme – und ich bin noch immer nicht weiter gekommen, mich davon zu lösen….“. Na wenn das nicht zu einem Schmunzeln führt, stehen wir erst wieder im Gefängnis unseres eigenen Egos und sperren eigenhändig die Tür zu….
Deshalb betrachte ich Yoga auch als Aufforderung:
- mich einerseits nicht allzu ernst zu nehmen
- langsamer im Handeln zu werden (vor allem im geistigen)
- und dadurch SPÜRIGER in Körper, Stimmung und Geist
…. und wenn sich in der Vorstellung noch dazu ein LÄCHELNDES HERZ gesellt…
…. nadann haben wir in der Tat verstanden, was es braucht, um FREUDVOLLES, HEILSAMES entstehen zu lassen.
Genau diese inneren Qualitäten können auch meinem Alltag mehr Tiefe verleihen.
Beginnen wir damit, zuerst einmal Raum zu schaffen zwischen Reiz und Reaktion….. denn in genau diesem RAUM liegt FREIHEIT!
